Butterflies, Butterflies, Butterflies

A recent walk in my backyard, brought about these pictures.
All the butterflies seem to be very busy this time of year...
guessing it's their last "hurrah" of the season.
As I sit in my yard and look out across the field, I feel
as though I am attending a Butterfly Ballet.
Sometimes they dance solo and other times in pairs.
In any case it creates the most beautiful, colorful, graceful picture.

Hope you enjoyed the visit today.  I plan to spend my weekend sewing.
I have a couple Dear Jane blocks I need to finish by tomorrow, and I really
need to start working on Christmas gifts.  Have a blessed weekend, and
take time to look around and enjoy God's gifts, they are so
plentiful and beautiful.

Hugs & Blessings,
Terry

What a delightful way to spend a few minutes here... sharing your delightful perspective of your day trip and the butterflies that 'visited' for the day.

Once we had a 'bevy'(?..what does one call a bunch of butterflies) stop by, enroute on their migration I presume. They were beautiful yellow swallowtails. Our 3 huge blue spruce were just filled with them! What a beautiful display by Mother Nature!

My Mom also has a surprise lily (she lives in Iowa), which she got a couple of years ago. But I've never been there when it was blooming, so I don't know what it looks like. It's growth cycle captivates me, apparently the foliage is not present at the same time the blossoms are, can't remember which came first.

Hi Terry,
Lovely butterflies. Looks like the cat is going to get one of his own. lol Hope not! BTW This is the first time I'm seeing a picture along with my blog name in your sidebar. I wonder how that happened? Maybe it's the first time I had only one picture in a post? Who knows. It's still a mystery to me. 8)

Happy stitching,
