Chick Update & Our Mini Farm

Well, here is our little "Mini Farm"
We have our original little chicken house,
that we completely out grew this year...
Then we added the new chicken barn and the newest
addition is the goat house.
Now if the weather would cooperate I could get
the painting finished!!!

These are the latest pictures of the new chicks.
These are our 4 little bantams...ended up
with 2 roosters in that batch, but they are so sweet and tame.
They follow the granddaughters around like little puppies :)

Three of our four Wyandotts,
someone is hiding from the camera.

Two Buff Orpingtons,
one black Araucana,
and one Red.

White Tetras, and Reds, and Wyandotts

Now here are the matriarchs of the chicken pens...
These ladies are the ones providing eggs for the household.
This is their second year with us.
Front & center is Miss Red, she is the one who started all this
chicken business; just behind her is the queen of the pen,
Blondie, who is surrounded by 3 of  her 4 ladies in waiting.

...And inside the chicken coop,
taking care of the egg laying business, is Edna.
She is a rescue chicken that one of the granddaughters
brought to Mamaw to save her from being pecked to death.

Now for the newest addition to the backyard mini farm....
Our "New Kids", sweet little pygmy goats.

Upper left corner is Darby, then Mavis has her head on top of Ellie May,
Little Scooter is in the lower right corner and Spitfire is in the lower left corner.

Here is Sir Darby, who has decided he needs a little more fiber in his diet!!!

Next we have Ellie May looking at the camera
and Mavis with her back to us...
and little Spitfire is peeking from around the corner.

This little guy is Scooter.
He is the most spoiled of the bunch :)

And this is Spitfire, being camera shy once again.

Kids with the Kids...
Fun Stuff!!!!

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you enjoyed your visit.

Hugs,
Terry
