Our Bird Familes Are Growing

Meet Romeo & Juliet, our newest bird couple.
They are Lady Gouldian Finches.
His colors are really much brighter than what
they show in this picture, but it was the best picture I could get...
they move around a lot and are very quick!!!

I also added to our Parakeet family...
This little guy is named Jax, he is yellow, blue, and green.
Jax is pretty tame, I am able to hold him & he will set on my finger.
I am hoping he will calm the girls down, they are pretty wild and flighty.

...And Jax makes three.

I am so enjoying watching and listening to all my
new feathered friends.  I am still hoping to find one more
parakeet, 2 male canaries, and maybe 1 more pair of finches.
And I might like to add a pair of Love birds to my home, eventually:)

Good night & pleasant dreams from my newly established aviary.

 Hugs & Blessings,
Terry

Paper Crafting

Here are the cards I made for the March card swaps
on the SSSD group.

I am hosting a new swap Punch Art on the group.
Every other month there is a theme to follow, and
only paper punches may be used to create our swaps.
The first month's theme was "Punch Art Critters"

These are the critters I made.

And these are the ones that everyone made...
they are all too cute!!!

The current challenge is
Punch Art People.
I can't wait to share those pictures with you:)

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs,
Terry

Newest Additions to Our House

These little ladies are my newest
little friends.  I have wanted Canaries since
I bought my parakeets last year...
but they are sooooo expensive in the
pet stores.  Well thanks to my brother
I have them.  He is raising birds
so I was able to get these little sweethearts
yesterday :)  I have not named them yet,
but soon, very soon they will have names.

They joined Squawkers & Sprite in my sewing room.
I LOVE listening to all of them chirp, squawk & almost sing.
Here is a recent picture of the parakeets.

My apologies for the lack of posting...
I don't know where the time goes.
I will soon be sharing some sewing and paper crafting
I have done over the past couple months:)
I wouldn't want my poor sister-in-law to have to
come over and chastise me in person...LOL

Hugs & Blessings,
Terry

This is the really cute package that arrived from my DJSP.

And these are the lovely gifts that were inside.
Beautiful card, very pretty gift box of green tea, and some
yummy chocolate...the chocolate is of course a thing of the past:)

Next was a really fun Valentine package from
my Secret Quilting Sister at the Friendship Block group

Yes, I wore the socks on Valentines Day :)
I ate the candy, used the mug rug with my hot tea,
the tissues are in my purse and the clips in my sewing drawer.

And this lovely little doll quilt is from my swap
partner at Doll Quilter's Monthly.

And it looks very very nice on my dining room table:)

A huge "Thank You" to all three of you wonderful ladies.
You certainly made this a very Happy Valentine's Day.

Well I have had to add the word verification thingy to my blog :(

In the last week I have had 4 spam posts and
1 post that had unacceptable language :(
My apologies if anyone came upon it before I got it removed.

I hope word verification doesn't keep anyone from
leaving comments, because I do love reading your comments :)

Hugs & Blessings to All,
Terry

Snow Fun...

After Christmas snow play
at Grandma's :)

The new 4-Wheeler made a huge hit.
I'm sure this was their favorite Christmas gift :)

Showing off for the camera???  No Never!!!
Well maybe just a little bit.

Serious snowman building going on...

Just lazin' in the snow
 Hugs & Blessings,
Terry

Our December Snow

Here are some shots of our snow that
arrived after Christmas.
All of these were taken around my yard.

And this is how we stay all warm
and cozy during these cold Indiana winters.
 Love the wood heat,
especially since all the mess and smell
 is outside.

From the sounds of the weather broadcast tonight...
we are in for some more of the white stuff
over the next 2 - 3 days.
This girlie will be staying inside,
with plenty of sewing and card making
to keep her busy and of course
drinking hot tea and cappaccino!!!

Warm, Cozy Hugs To All,
Terry

More From Christmas

Here are some awesome gift wrapping ideas.
I would love to say I did these, but I did not...
my daughter, Jennifer was the creator.

First is Lego Man & Mrs Snowperson.
Each is made up of 4 individual
presents.  Samson (the cat) is the
guardian of the gifts.
Next is the reindeer and angel gifts.  Each of these is made from 2 gifts.

And here they are all together.
They were the hit of Christmas morning.

And here are some of the gifts I received this year.

This is the beautiful jewelry box my dear
husband had made for me.  Love it !!!
Also gave me the money to get a canary,
once the weather warms up.

These wonderful goodies were from my
dear sister-in-law, who always spoils me :)

And all the rest of these great gifts were from
Secret Santas from the different quilting
and card making and snail mail groups I belong to.

Do you think I was feeling pretty
special and spoiled this Christmas???
You bet !!!!!

The groups I belong to have the most
wonderful, caring, sharing bunch of
women there is :)

Well that's all for today.
Back tomorrow with more
catching up :)

Hugs,
Terry

Hershel - The Elf On The Shelf

We went out and bought our Christmas tree,
set it up in it's stand and let it stand over night,
you know, to let the branches fall.
And what did we find in our tree the next morning....
you guessed it, "Hershel" !!!!!

So we became the hosts for this little mischievous character
through the Christmas season...

Now for the most part Hershel was a pretty well behaved guest.
Sometimes we would find him just hanging around...

Or just sitting and watching the goings on of the house...

But, one day, oh my, one day,
I hesitate to think about it,
just brings chills to my bones, ahhhhh
 he committed the ultimate crime...

You guessed it...Hershel touched my sewing machine....
Oh My Gosh, I just about had the Big One !!!!
Ahhhhhh, Grrrrrrrr, Bad, bad, bad move.

So I promptly put Dear Hershel into a lengthy Time Out!!!
'Cause nobody touches MY sewing machine.

Hershel now knows not to touch THE Machine.
So if he can remember that,
he is welcome to come back again to spend
Christmas with us :)

The grand kids had a ball with our Christmas visitor.
And truth be known...so did Grandma :)

 Love & Hugs & Blessings,
Terry
