Today brought a new visitor to my backyard. This Red-winged Blackbird finally got brave enough to come up to the feeder. My feeder is only about 10 feet from the backdoor. I've seen a few of them in the field this year, but this is the first I've seen at the feeder. If you click on the picture, to enlarge it, you can that it looks like he is chattering at me :) This picture is of a sweet little Dove, that must have thought she was pretty well camouflaged, deep inside my Blue Spruce tree. She didn't even flinch as walked up and snapped the picture!

What an incredible little bird - the red is amazing against so much black. Never seen one of these before so thanks for sharing. It's lovely getting to see some of the birds that live over the other side of the world :) Hoping I can get a camera before long that allows me to get close up photos of the birds around here.
I love the red wing blackbirds, they are frequent visitors to feeders here in Colorado. I love all the bird life around from the Magpies to the Blue Jays. Enjoy your new visitor and thanks for sharing the pictures!
